New spectacular decors for the Studio Paris series
Not less than nine new decors have been launched for the Manufaktur Studio Paris series.

The new decors created by Phoenix Design, the series' fathers, bring lively and attractive lines within a neutral and soft style, preserving the pass of time in the bathroom and ensuring that the enclosure will retain it’s style.

Even more amazing is the chrome finishing, which is also offered in these decors, in addition to the matt finishing.
This finishing, for the more demanding customers provides an impressive “mirror-effect” and is offered exclusively from Hüppe.

“The chrome, component used for the “mirror-effect”, is not simply a layer, which is put onto the glass but is literally burned into the panel”, explains H.J. Steinert from Hüppe Germany.

It is manufactured with chrome, vaporized during a special process, so that it is absorbed by the glass only leaving few microns on the surface.
This finishing is as easy to maintain as the glass with anti-plaque treatment, namely by using our TOP PLUS product along with a smooth cloth.

The new matt decors are included in the GLASS 2 prices of the Hüppe tariff. The prices for the chrome decors can be consulted via our agents or at Hüppe.

New Manufaktur Studio Paris catalogue
The new catalogue of the Studio Paris series is now available, with illustrative images proof of its elegance and endless applications.

This recent catalogue shows the new options of this innovative series, such as the latest exclusive decors in matt or chrome finishing or the multiple combinations of different elements like hinges, door knobs and wall brackets. Furthermore, you can observe the similarities with the chrome-white of Hansgrohe’s Pura Vida tab series, which have both been designed by Phoenix Design.

Additionally, the catalogue elaborates on the work of the designers and the reasons for having chosen for the allegorical name Paris.

Project department, easy from the beginning to the end
“We are always present during the project, accompanying the client the entire time”, stated J.L. Rumbo, responsible for projects.

In this Hüppe News’ edition we will concentrate on the process Hüppe establishes during the process of projects.

The initial project phase, or the study phase, typically starts the moment an architect or interior designer contacts us. After a number of necessary meetings the project is developed until obtaining a base study that will serve to create the offer.

In the following phase, the execution of the construction the construction company comes into play. Within this phase a pilot room may be constructed so that it can be approved by the construction supervision paving the way for the execution of the entire project.

“Our client appreciates us being close to resolve all incidents with few words and that we take care of everything”, comments R. Aicart, Hüppe’s responsible for tech & design.

New Classics DP
Hüppe offers in its new catalogue 2010 the latest Classics DP solution with pivot doors.

The pivot system has the advantage of a wide opening without taking up too much space from the bathroom. Furthermore, the hinges inside the enclosure are basically in alignment with the crystal to facilitate cleaning.

It is available in the standard dimensions of 750, 800 as well as 900 mm, and a compensation of 40 mm. This allows for an adoption to the majority of spaces.

Our installation team in Great Britain
Do you speak English?

Our installation team has moved to London two months ago to participate in a renovation of a centrical hotel of a well-known Spanish chain.

The hotel, situated in the district of South Kensington, has been entirely renovated with new furniture and a modern decoration within a Victorian building.

In its 90 rooms, Hüppe installed their famous bathtub solution Design HPS with 6 mm transparent safety glass and Anti-plaque treatment.

Interview with Ramón Aicart, Hüppe Spain’s responsible for tech & design

"We try to develop all of our products so that they are very easy to install and align."

When designing a new prototype, which aspects are your priorities?

Important is that the whole device is coherent. Therefore we apply what we call the pillars or basics of design. Hüppe always starts with a strong technical basis to grant all funtional guarantees that the brand has us all used to. The quality of the components is a further fundamental aspect in this regards.

Moreover, Hüppe takes into account the installer. A good product that is poorly installed threatens the whole brand image. We try to develop all of our products so that they are very easy to install and align.

Finally, an essential detail when it comes to the final consumer is the modern aesthetic, which gives our products a unique character guaranteeing a splendid and different look in the bathroom.

Do you also consider the environment?

Of course, the Hüppe group is very engaged in the environment.
Our enclosures are 100% recyclable so that the whole solution, at the end of its life, can be separated individually without any effort and be introduced in the recycling process.

Is the minimalist focus of the bathroom still in fashion?

I think that it is and that I will be for some time to come. Originating from soft lines and playing with transparency it can be combined well with any furnishing, minimalism helps to preserve the pass of time in the bathroom. This is an important advantage as it hardly gets out of style.

How do you think the bathroom of the future will look like?

The bathroom will become more and more a pleasant room to relax and will be increasingly combined with other areas of the house.

In which way has the economic crisis influenced the development of your work?

The launch of lower-priced product lines, however being of the usual Hüppe quality, are experiencing great acceptance.

A natural leader in his area

With more than 15 years at Hüppe and 25 within the sector, Ramón Aicart is the responsible of the tecn & design department for Hüppe Spain and the creator of some of Hüppe’s series such as Design, Prisma, Kalea or Vista, to name the most recent ones.

Project department, the holidays start

Maybe this summer some of you are lucky enough to see the Hüppe enclosures at the paradisiacal coast of the Dominican Republic.

Hüppe is participating in the construction of a luxurious 5 star hotel complex at Playa Bávaro, for a well-known hotel chain. Its rooms are decorated with several solutions, among others the Proedition TP, which particularly sticks out.

These solutions allow for combining the bathroom with the bedroom. They include a dry zone, the lavatory, and a moist zone, the shower, with a great accessibility thanks to the wide swing doors.
Both doors are fixed at the same central lateral to facilitate installation.

Feria Ideo Bain 2010 in París

At the beginning of this year, Hüppe France participated in the trade fair Ideo Bain 2010, where they presented the new Manufaktur Studio Paris.

Ideo Bain is France’s most important trade fair within our sector with all main brands being present at this event, serving as a showcase for the new Manufaktur Studio Paris.

The booth’s location next to Hansgrohe and Duravit generated much interest. The numerous visitors could confirm how Hansgrohe’s product line Pura Vida perfectly matched Hüppe’s Studio Paris series, due to the fact that both products have been designed by Phoenix Design.

New Classics DC2C, unique in its segment

The solution DC2C of the Classics series, with two sliding doors, that opens both sides, is experiencing a huge success for its uniqueness in the lower-mid segment.

These sliding doors with double opening enlarges significantly the access to the shower tray, it is seldom applied by other manufacturers and has had a wide acceptance.

Furthermore, you can count on more advantages of the Classics series when it comes to ease of cleaning or softness of the doors’ movements.

New solutions within the Design series

Now are available the new solutions DC2 Plus and W Choice for the Design series.

The new Design DC2 Plus originates from the same concept as the new Prisma DC2 Plus, with one sliding door and two fixed panels on the sides, allowing to install the door in whatever position until it is in alignment with the bathroom’s passage.

The novelty is the incorporation of the Stand-alone panels Design W Choice into the medium range, allowing to choose multiple and elegant combinations, including a short swing door, which prevents water to leave the shower area.

Excellent response to the new tariff 2010

The new series Studio Paris generates great interest within the price list 2010.

The innovations of 2010’s range, in particular the new Manufaktur Studio Paris, have been well received among the consumers who have already seen them.

STUDIO-DPF---BLANCO.jpg

The new series Studio Paris, nominated for the IF design awards, stands out with its extra slim hinges that obliged the Hüppe
team to develop a new technology. The new series is manufactured with 8 mm safety glass and has an opening of 180º,
including recess solutions with side panels. The list contains a great variety of solutions of which particularly the stand alone
panels, the so-called Walk-In solutions stick out. They have distinctive and elegant compositions, which are rarely seen on the
Spanish market.

Other elements that make the new series even more attractive is the possibility of combining eye-catching colours for the hinges
and handles such as the famous white chrome and the options of personalized glass decors & colours like verde, fume and bronze.
The alternative choice of stabilizing the glass by a ceiling support offers also an elegant and distinctive touch that reinforces the
whole product.

Projects division, Ideas for large measurements

In this edition we display a room layout for those who dispose of large spaces, sizes of 5 x 6 meters. This room has been renovated recently in the Hotel Royal de Barcelona.

The decorator’s intention was to combine the bedroom with the bathroom and achieve maximum brightness in an elegant manner.

He decided to change the room’s structure to put the bed in the front and the bathroom plus the wardrobe in the rear, the two areas are separated by a wall of transparent glass that also serves as heading section.

The access to the bathroom was solved by means of a ProEdition series sliding door, the sliding mechanism is hidden behind a stainless steel trim that is placed throughout the room’s entire ceiling width.

The bathroom of 5 x 2 meters incorporates a transparent enclosure of the type ProEdition DPSF, the side panel is the room’s glass separator.

The whole combination of sanitary components is hidden behind the bedroom wall.
A global solution that offers discretion, visual amplitude as well as luminosity.

Hüppe takes a shower in the centre of Paris

What’s happening here?, many of Paris’ inhabitants asked themselves while walking along the Seine on a cold morning in March, they spotted a group of technicians, photographers and models taking a shower in the middle of the street.

platz_01.jpeg

The motive? – A very special job for the famous photographer Kai-Uwe Gundlach. “Hüppe wanted to illustrate the strengths of their new series Studio Paris in an impacting way. Therefore, a simple and elegant but spectacular photo session in Paris seemed adequate. Furthermore, placing a shower in an urban environment, which is totally different to the usual, broke all habits and gave maximum importance to the shower enclosure”, explains the photographer.

The event attracted spectators during the whole session. “The day was very animated and spontaneous, thanks to the audience that accompanied us all morning. The models had a lot of fun with them without losing any naturalness”, added Gundlach.

New formation days at Hüppe

The 2010 course at Hüppe has already started. Will you miss it?
As from April, technical training for dealers as well as for technicians are taking place. Hüppe considers training very important, so that their collaborators are kept up to date on all technical issues.

During the sessions, the product range, the novelties for 2010 as well as the function of the Commercial departments and S.A.T will be explained. Moreover, an illustrative visit to the factory will be made.

One of the important characteristics is the flexibility. “We adapt to the schedule of the assistants so that the training can take place after the working hours of the establishments”, says Susana Cao, organizer of the courses.

The next courses are:
Technical days: week 26.
Commercial days: week 27.

Projects Division Hüppe

The most satisfying thing about this department is that almost anything is possible, explains Jose Luis Rumbo, Project Manager Hüppe Spain with whom we conducted the following interview.

 Jose Luis Rumbo.jpg
Jose Luis Rumbo, Project Manager

When did Hüppe’s projects and construction division come to life?
This department was created more than 10 years ago thanks to some architects and decorators that made us start working with internal bath design. They were convinced that our technical competences as well as the Hüppe guarantee could match their desires and requirements.

Why?
Our technical team stands bold with their solid experience and they have been working with 3D design for many years. This helps significantly the coordination with decorators and architects.

Does it only work through collaboration with these professionals?
No, we want to open up to the public in general. We have noticed that these professionals get us in constant touch with the latest tendencies and innovations, many of which could be interesting for the consumer; in particular the trends of gaining space and light intensity.

Spectacular spaces can be accomplished by combining the bathroom with other rooms; usually being the bedroom for gaining visual and physical space.

Project Hotel Royal (Barcelona)

How about an example?
One of the most recent projects we completed was the 4-star hotel Hotel Royal in Barcelona. www.royalramblashotel.com

The rather small room you can se above looked dark and somewhat oppressive. The decorator’s solution consisted in tearing down the separating wall of the bathroom to integrate the washbowl into the bedroom.
Also, a solution Home TC from the ProEdition line has been incorporated to combine toilet and shower within the reduced space. This solution Home TC offers two benefits. The glass, although being matt finished, gives the sensation of visual amplitude. Moreover, the sliding door does not block or use any useful space of the bathroom.

Which product do you offer?
The most satisfying thing about this department is that almost anything is possible. You can let your imagination run wild without limitations.

Obviously, our common and well-known Hüppe/Manufaktur catalogue serves as a basis; however, we mostly work with the ProEdition catalogue, which contains the majority of the solutions we apply in our division.
The good news is that our marketing department is going to re-edit the ProEdition catalogue soon for being able to offer it to the broad public in general.
Finally, we work with a wide variety of suppliers, which permits us to provide almost all possible product variations.

New Manufaktur Studio Paris

New Manufaktur Studio Paris

Studio Paris en Paris.jpg

Opening the doors of the new Manufaktur Studio Paris is entering into the world of emotions, where the bathroom offers us this unique and personal moment in which we seek absolute peace and the renewal of energy lost during of the day.
This moment has been dedicated the maximum attention from the beginning of its development.

Fruit of Phoenix Design, who has been nominated at the IF Design Awards, and the newly developed technology by Hüppe’s technical team, the Studio Paris is born. A step beyond contemporary design evoked by light and elegant lines that elevate it above the fugitive spirit of the moment.

Certainly few of us know how to define elegance and again few of us know the limit of technology but many recognize both in the new Studio Paris.

A unique and comfortable place

The level of personalization the new Manufaktur Studio Paris offers, seeks to transform the bathroom to your taste and fulfill your expectations.

A great variety that is reflected in the possible combinations of hinges, handles and other elements. By combining the outside part in high quality chrome with colours on the inlay part, up to six different combinations can be offered. One of them being the in vogue combination chrome – white.

Escuadra-Chrom-Chrom.jpg

bisagra.jpg

All solutions have two possibilities to fix the glass to the wall, either through angles or through profiles. The angle bracket has experienced an aesthetic and technical revolution, one-sided and reduced to a minimum.
This angle bracket is available in combination with the attractive colours of the hinges.

The glasses are another essential element that differentiate this series. The option with personalized décors or coloured glasses such as verde, fume and bronce stand out.

The option where the glass is fixed to the wall through a bar is another elegant and distinctive alternative. Furthermore, it provides the combination with significant resistance.

                Escuadra-2-Chrom-Chrom.jpg   serigrafia.jpg   Barra-a-techo.jpg

Perfection in details

The new Studio Paris not only impresses with its numerous options but also with the quality of its details. The standard of the finishes of the handles, hinges or watertight parts are beyond market standards and guarantee a long life.

The hinges are created with the new technology Slim Line with the objective to adapt all functionalities to Phoenix Design’s extra slim design.
They include inward as well as outward aperture to save room and boasts an rise & fall system which lifts the door 5 mm when opening. By this means, the door can be opened easily without dragging the drip deflector, even with floor flush installations.

The new perfil drip deflector is available in high quality chrome, which can even be omitted if the maximum entry facility is desired.

All possibilities

In addition to the most common bathroom solutions, the numerous Walk-In models with an entry free of any profile or doors have been incorporated. A solution that visually gains space in an elegant way.
The Studio Paris allows for multiple combinations, that most certainly adapt to your bathroom.
